me and my photos As a professional in the creative industry, I have run photography projects alongside my working life for most of my career. Although I've had a couple of exhibitions and even a few of my photos published, so far I've managed to resist the urge to take up photography as a full-time career! In my real life I’ve progressed through the design and marketing industry at a fairly rapid pace. Having been an acting creative director at 22 and an industry consultant at 24 I always joked I would have run out of things to aim for by I was 30. However, I found myself a new challenge by launching The Mechanics Group in 2006 (see my professional page for more information) and currently spend more time in the office than out with my camera. An obvious subject for me is landscapes, having an almost elemental need to wander around in the hills and moorland, however you’ll also find a lot of photographs of people on this site. I am strongly fascinated by people and have an intense habit (that has got me into trouble on a number of occasions!) of needing to work people out. A psychologist once advised my wife it was something to do with my strong emotional intelligence. I think it’s just my Taurean nature of wanting to be in control of my environment!
